Seaclone Protein Skimmer

The Seaclone Protein Skimmer is a terrible protein skimmer for a modern saltwater aquarium. I don’t often write negative product reviews, but these protein skimmers seem to get pushed on many beginner hobbyists that visit popular pet store chains. This skimmer is outdated and does not perform even a tenth as good as other protein skimmers of the same cost. In fact, I would venture to say that most hang on the back and canister filters are more effective then the Seacline Protein Skimmer.

Seaclone Protein Skimmer Review

Seaclone Skimmers simply do not work as well other protein skimmers. They are hard to adjust and once they appear to be dialed in they stop working because the water level dropped in your aquarium by half an inch. Do not be deceived by the pictures, as they are made from cheap plastic that will most likely crack and leak water on your floor. And if it does decide to start working, it will be when you feed your aquarium. Suddenly the water will rise in the chamber and start overflowing out the top of the collection cup. Do not waste your money on a Seaclone Protein Skimmer or a Lee Protein Skimmer. If you don’t believe me, take a look at some of the customer reviews. You’ll discover that most of them agree with my opinion.
